LETTER WRITTEN BY

MR. ERIC J. GOLDSTONE

Founding President of & Treasurer of the
Battery Park Synagogue

I am writing this letter to thank you for your continued support of Rabbi Yitzchak Rudomin. The Torah Study and Hebrew Language classes he has taken upon himself to run for The Battery Park Synagogue each Wednesday evening continue to receive widespread attention and have helped to promote a sense of Jewish identity within our developing community. We greatly appreciate his efforts,

Rabbi Rudomin is an extraordinary man, as you are undoubtedly aware. His unswerving faith in Torah and its precepts coupled with his open and unassuming style, are providing many of us with an appealing bridge to our Jewish heritage. There are no questions Rabbi Rudomin refuses to answer within the context of Torah, and he is always willing to remain after class (often for hours) if he senses genuine interest in the topic. Through his example, we are being compelled to view our Judaism as a way of life and not just as a fact of life.

My friend Norman Kleiman and I started The Battery Park Synagogue six years ago hoping that it would one day serve as a center of Jewish identity for our entire community. Thank-you again for sending us Rabbi Rudomin. The mitzvah of his presence is assisting in the fulfillment of that dream.

Sincerely,

Eric J. Goldstone
Founding President & Treasurer
The Battery Park Synagogue
